Contributions and Donations

AIDS Resources is funded primarily through government grants. While these grants allow us to serve our clients and their families, friends, and caregivers, they are very restrictive and do not allow us to allocate any of the funds to matters that are outside their intended use.

Private contributions provide us with the means to be proactive in meeting the unique needs of our community because we can use those contributions to broaden the services available under federal legislation.

We are on the front line of the fight to end the spread of HIV and AIDS in rural Texas and, because of this, we become aware of local needs long before Austin or Washington recognizes those needs. We also know, based on our interactions in the community, that a one-size-fits-all approach is not always the perfect solution to match individual needs.

We sponsor several fund-raising events each year, and the proceeds from those events are directed toward our goals to educate, to promote awareness, and to provide information in an effort to end the spread of HIV and AIDS in our community. Private donations, however, are essential to meet the constantly changing needs of our community.

We know that we can do more if we had greater resources. With your help, we will! AIDS Resources is a private, nonprofit, 501(c)(3) organization and, as such, all contributions are deductible to the full extent of the law.

Donations made to our community stay in our community.
