Individual Mental Health Counseling - Licensed or trained mental health counselors are available to provide support for clients dealing with the everyday effects of HIV and AIDS.

Counseling is available each Tuesday and Thursday by appointment and by special arrangement.

Family Mental Health Counseling - In addition to support for clients, family members are encouraged to seek mental health support from our counseling staff.

Couples and group family counseling is available by special arrangement.

Substance Abuse Counseling - Clients who have substance abuse issues can receive counseling from a licensed substance abuse counselor. These sessions address the ever-present consequences from continued drug and alcohol abuse. This counseling provides a vital link to support or treatment options.

Client Groups - Each Tuesday at noon, clients are given the opportunity to meet together to discuss a range of issues. Facilitated by a member of the counseling staff, this group focuses on the needs of the client, the issues facing those who are HIV positive or have AIDS, and the realities of the disease in the less-than-supportive rural setting. This group is closed to anyone who is not HIV positive or is not a client of AIDS Resources of Rural Texas.

Support Group - Special support groups are formed to meet the ever changing needs of our clients. Short-term groups are formed for couples, women or men, or others based on need and request. These groups are facilitated by our counseling staff.
